HOW IT BEGAN
I loved pearls.
I just wanted to wear them differently.
I have always been drawn to making things — to color, texture, proportion, and the small details that change how something feels.
And I have always loved pearls.
But whenever I looked for pearl jewelry to wear myself, I kept finding beautiful pearls arranged in ways that felt too familiar.
So I began taking things apart.
I mixed pearls of different shapes and tones. Added silver. Changed the proportions. Took one necklace apart and made it again.
Then again.
Friends began asking about the pieces I was wearing. Some wanted one of their own. Others brought me ideas and asked if I could make something for them.
What began as jewelry I wanted to wear slowly became something more.
And somewhere between making, unmaking, and making again, COLINÉ began.
