A little throwback to sunny Venice.
The summer isn’t over yet! But I want to share some pictures of our first vacation this summer in Venice. In June, we decided last-minute to book a trip to Venice to visit the Architecture Biennale that is held every two years. Off course, for me, this event was the highlight of our vacation.
If you’re going to the Biennale, you can walk several days trough the two sites, Giardini and Arsenale, without seeing everything. Off course I visited the Belgian pavillion where I found different works of well-known Flemish architects. This is a model of Robbrecht and Daem architecten in the Belgian pavillion.
I also liked the Spanish pavillion, that is just next to the Belgian pavillion. Another must-see is this installation in the Nordic pavillion that is designed by Sverre Fehn. The architecture itself is worth a visit.
Just outside the Giardini you can find this perfect place to have lunch called Paradiso! Ask if you can go to the rooftop and enjoy a nice view on Venice.
The Biennale is opened until November 27th. So if you’re in Venice soon, you’ll know what to do!
