C – MINE

The world of Charles and Ray Eames.

A couple of weeks ago,  I visited the exposition ‘The world of Charles and Ray Eames‘ in C-Mine, Genk. The building, transformed by the Belgian architecture office 51N4E, is very unique because of its history as part of the mining industry.

The temporary exhibition ‘The world of Charles and Ray Eames’, until May 28, shows their architecture, photography, design and much more. Make sure you also visit the temporary café!

Also the permanent exhibition about the history of the mine industry on that location is very fascinating. It’s possible to discover the history of the mine by walking trough the corridors, interactive movies, climbing the mineschaft,… A must-visit!
